ShutterDeck Device Setup

In the box you’ll find:

  1. The ShutterDeck unit

  2. USB cable

  3. Remote shutter cables (optional)

1. Power the device

Plug one end of the USB cable into the port on the back of the device. Plug the other end into a power source such as your laptop, a portable battery, or a wall outlet using a 5V USB adapter.

2. Connect your cameras

With your remote shutter cable, plug the 3.5mm headphone-style jack into one of the camera ports on the front of the device. Plug the other end into the remote shutter port on your camera. Repeat this step for each camera you want to connect.

3. Locate the ShutterDeck Wi-Fi network

In the Settings app on your iPhone, go to the list of nearby Wi-Fi networks and select the one named ShutterDeck XXXX. Instead of XXXX you’ll see a combination of 4 numbers and letters that are unique to your device.

4. Enter the ShutterDeck Wi-Fi password

Enter the password for the device’s onboard Wi-Fi network. You’ll find the password in the Wi-Fi section of the ShutterDeck iPhone app. If you don’t have the app, you can download it here.

5. Take some photos!

From the ShutterDeck iPhone app’s home screen, select a mode, and take some photos! Check out our tips to optimize your cameras for syncing.
